Terms & Conditions – Jersey Genie Laundry
1. CONTRACT
These Terms apply to any order placed with Jersey Genie Laundry via our website, mobile app, SMS, or any other platform. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not proceed with placing an order. This agreement becomes legally binding once your order is accepted by us. You must read these terms carefully. By ticking the acceptance box during account setup, you consent to these Terms. Jersey Genie Laundry reserves the right to amend the Terms periodically. We will notify you by email if any changes affect you.
2. INTERPRETATION
App: Jersey Genie Laundry
Event Outside Our Control: Any event or circumstance beyond our control, including but not limited to service provider or material unavailability.
Item: Any garment or article collected from you as part of an order.
Order: Your request for services submitted via the Jersey Genie Laundry platform.
Services: Laundry or dry cleaning services collected from and delivered to your nominated address.
Service Providers: Jersey Genie Laundry staff or affiliates providing the services.
Terms: These terms and conditions, which may be updated periodically.

3. PLACING AN ORDER
You are responsible for checking all details before placing your order. We are not liable for any omissions or errors on your part. Once we accept your order and send a confirmation (including billing details), the contract becomes binding. Your order number must be referenced in all communication. All services are subject to availability. If we cannot fulfill your order, we will notify you promptly.
4. CHANGES TO AN ORDER
You can change your order up to 2 hours before the scheduled collection or delivery time. Changes may be made through the app, website, or by emailing support@jerseygenielaundry.com. We may offer alternatives to cancellations where applicable, with your consent. Changes will be confirmed via email or text.
5. CANCELLING OR RESCHEDULING YOUR ORDER
You may cancel or reschedule your order up to 2 hours before collection or delivery. Use the app, website, or email to notify us. Confirmations will be sent in writing.
6. OUR RIGHTS TO CANCEL AN ORDER
We may cancel your order for the following reasons:
– Event outside our control
– Items unavailable for collection as agreed
– Items do not match the description or lack proper instructions
– Items fall outside our accepted service range
If we cancel, we will notify you via email and arrange return of any collected items.
7. COLLECTION AND RE-DELIVERY
We aim to collect and deliver items as per your order but do not guarantee exact timing. Delays will be communicated. If re-delivery fails due to your unavailability, a re-delivery fee of $5 may apply. You may also choose to collect from our facility or use a same-day courier. If items are unclaimed after 90 days, they may be donated to charity. If you request delivery without a signature, it will be at your risk.
8. STANDARDS OF SERVICE
All services are performed with reasonable skill, care, and in line with industry standards. We will not be held responsible for issues arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided during order placement. Risky or special-care items will be handled only with your consent.
Wash and Fold Orders
Check garments for hazardous items like coins, pens, or keys—we are not liable for damage from such items. Clothes are washed and dried as per your chosen temperature preferences but are not ironed.
Colour Separation
We separate lights and darks with care, but are not liable for any colour transfer or bleeding.
Bag Size and Weight
Laundry is weighed at the facility. The minimum chargeable weight is 6kg. Orders under this will be charged the minimum wash & fold price.
Damaged or Delicate Items
We wash by the load and do not inspect each garment's care label. Items needing special care (e.g., silk, wool, leather, velvet, etc.) must be pre-identified and suitable for machine washing and drying.
Excluded Items
Wash & Fold does not include duvets, blankets, bath mats, or bedspreads. These will be charged individually and reflected in your bill.
Tagging
Items are tagged per load, not individually. We are not responsible for missing individual items.
9. PRICE AND PAYMENT
Prices are listed on our app or website (www.jerseygenielaundry.com/pricing) and may change without notice. Prices include applicable taxes. Payments are captured upon order but processed after item intake and service completion. If your final total exceeds the pre-authorized amount, your card will be charged accordingly. Unpaid amounts may accrue interest at 3% above the base lending rate of a national U.S. bank.
10. DAMAGE OR LOSS OF ITEMS
Any issues regarding damage or missing items must be reported to support@jerseygenielaundry.com within 48 hours of delivery.
11. COMPLAINT NOTIFICATIONS
Complaints must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery. Complaints received after this period may not be accepted.
12. STATUTORY CONSUMER RIGHTS
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected by these Terms. For more information, please consult your local consumer protection agency.
